Charles Alexander is an independent singer/songwriter, digital strategist and artist manager. He co-founded Streaming Promotions with business partner, Michael Sloane, formerly of Big Machine Label Group. Streaming Promotions is a streaming marketing and strategy company that specializes in placing music in services like Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora. They have run successful digital campaigns for such diverse clients as Keb' Mo', Ryan Cabrera and Noel Guthrie amongst others
The both of them also recently launched Systemic, a label services company.
Charles is also the CEO/Founder of Outside The Box Music, an artist digital services company. He helps artists, musicians & songwriters create and extend their online presence. He implements strategies and runs campaigns on behalf of his clients to increase fan acquisition, fan engagement, as well as, create brand awareness. These efforts help grow and maintain fan bases that help artists have sustainable careers.
He manages the career of Keeley Valentino, whose song "Nashville" has garnered over 14 million spins on Spotify.
He has been an invited speaker at SXSW, Music Biz, Digital Summit, Americana Music Conference, ASCAP, The International Folk Alliance and has contributed to the national discussion on SOPA, the online piracy bill. He has been featured on NPR, Billboard, The Washington Post and The Tennessean. He has been published on the front page of international music tech blog, HypeBot.
He also established "Rock The Net", a digital music initiative geared towards educating artists, songwriters, artist managers and other music business professionals on how to leverage the internet and other online platforms.
He has been a NewSong Music regional finalist and performs at venues like The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee on a regular basis. He is an ardent advocate for independent music.
